Do I have to be an experienced rider to join?
No! We welcome riders of all levels and experience.
I don’t event, but I ride dressage/jumpers/hunters. Can I still join?
Absolutely! We have riders from all disciplines who have started eventing with us, or who simply enjoy the community of horse lovers.
What are the requirements to be on the team?
You must be a full-time undergraduate student at Baylor University, registered for 12-credit hours, or the full-time equivalent graduate student. Additionally, a student must have maintained a current GPA of 2.00 and a cumulative 2.33 GPA.
I don’t have a horse. Can I still join?
Of course! We do not require any of our members to ride or compete. If you are looking for lessons or to lease, we can put you in contact with some local trainers who can help you achieve your goals.
Where/how often does the team train?
College can be a busy time for many students, and we understand that eventing can be an expensive sport. As such, we do not require any of our students to ride or compete and so do not have any scheduled weekly practices. However, we do hold a clinic once per semester as a chance for our members to ride together.
I’m looking for somewhere to ride/board in Waco! Any recommendations?
Most of our members ride at one of two barns:
Hidden Branch Stables in Axtell, TX (Hidden Branch Stables)
Highlander Ranch in Bosqueville, TX (Highlander Ranch | McLennan Community College)
Do you offer clinics or summer camps for high school students?
At this time, we do not.
